My adult son and I went for some cat skiing and were extremely happy with our experience. I would recommend Chic Chac very highly if you want some amazing skiing, fun vibes, adventure, no-frills accommodation, good food and drinks and beautiful views. We booked the package with 2 days of cat skiing, all meals included and hostel-style accommodation. The guides were awesome, taking excellent care of us, the food was very good indeed and the accommodation was clean and simple, which is what we wanted. All exactly what we wanted. I cannot say enough about the wonderful guides who made the experience even better than I could have hoped. Thanks to Eric, Abraham, Alix, Guy, Jerome and all the other staff were wonderful too. Thank you all for making a very special experience for us.

Awesome last minute trip to go ski touring when no one else had snow. Loved the location, the food, and the people were super friendly. All for quite reasonable rates too. Highly recommended.

We booked the 4 day Pre season Cat package at Chic Choc last week. Just before arrival we were called by the office to confirm when we were coming in, upon arrival we had great service from the front desk and they gave us all the information of our trip and where to stay quite quickly. At first we were sceptical about the price of the package being that the food was included. Since we arrived around 5pm, the first thing we did was sit at the beautiful newly renovated restaurant/bar and were very impressed with the beer and drink selections available. We then ordered our food and the food was some of the best I have ever had, so many options and the chefs creations were truly above any of our expectations. We really could not get enough of the menu. Portions were big and really well priced. Since we had paid for a food package this was included for us which we were extremely surprised about. Huge shout out to the head Chef / Restaurant manager Hans, he treated us so well and even had us try some of his newest creations. The servers and bartenders were also a delight! I'm sorry that i forgot some of their names but everyone treated us really well and service was on point! This seasons snow was scarce which made us worried about if the CATs would be running. Luckily in the coming week before we arrived it had snowed close to 100cm accumulatively and our first outing was on Porphyre. From the moment we walked into the lodge on the first morning we were greeted with coffee and drinks and the chef had prepared us a really good breakfast to start the day. We then moved to the lower level to commence the orientation. Everything went very smooth and the guides were very detailed with the safety procedures and what we would expect condition wise that day. The snow conditions and lead guide that day JD guided us on an amazing day of open powder runs. I was truly surprised about how much open terrain there was to explore with all fresh deep tracks. Our follow guide was Abram, he was also amazing to have on tour and made sure everyone got down safe while having a blast. The energy of the guides really showed us how much they love their job and made the day so much fun. After the Cat ski day we were brought back to the lodge and greeted with more drinks, nachos and an amazing brochetta fry creation from the chef. We even were lucky enough to have Phil the Photographer take images of us all day on our adventures and played them on the big screen at the restaurant for the night. This was an amazing touch for the experience and really sealed the deal for us to be coming back 1-2 times a year from now on. The next day we were lucky enough to be able to go to Mount York even with the variable conditions. Being the first tour on this mountain of the year we had fresh tracks all day with an amazing lead guide Jerome who had us laughing and having fun all day. This day we were lucky enough to have Claudia taking video of us and made a great reel on instagram that was shared with us afterwards! Another amazing day that surpassed all expectations. We had the chance to meet the owner of the Chic Chac, he was truly a delight to talk to and you could tell how involved he is in every aspect of the business. He's doing an amazing job with the Chic Chac and always seems to be improving operations. Being a business owner myself, it goes a long way to hear from all of your employees about how great of a person you are. The third day we had a chance to explore Miller and also found amazing terrain and snow on our own. We will be coming back year after year and will be recommending this trip to all our friends. Can't wait to come back and experience this all again in the heavier snow months. Greta job guys! If I could give more than 5 Stars I would! Thanks Andy, Seb, Alan and Brandon

This is my new Cat-ski destination. We did arrive the day after a big storm, so of course we had the best snow. But the staff and location are great. Just be warned, this is not a 5 Star luxury resort. But the food is good and plentiful, and the commendations basic but clean. If you want Whistler or Tremblant vibe, with a crazy nightlife, this is not for you. If you want a 90's ski bum paradise, Chic-Chac is the place. The only caveat is getting there. The highway from Quebec will close during a big storm, so you have to plan carefully, and watch the weather. I will return. Best ski value I have ever had.
